REVELATION

While in prison on the Isle of Patmos, the Apostle John received the Revelation of Jesus Christ to all of the Churches. This Revelation became the last book of the Bible, and as its name implies, it is an unfolding—a revealing.

In the vision, John was shown amazing scenes which were prophetic signs of things to come. While some view these signs and symbols of Revelation to be terrifying, the Christian who longs for a better day for everyone finds hope in its words. Revelation 21:4 speaks of Christ and his Church blessing all mankind with health, happiness, freedom from fear and life. The last Chapter of Revelation tells of a time when all the world will be blessed with the opportunity to learn righteousness and to "drink of the water of life freely." (Revelation 22:17)
